Manitowoc is introducing the National Crane Series 900H boom truck at the ICUEE (International Construction and Utility Equipment Expo) in Louisville, KY, US, October 16-18.

The 900H is the newest addition to the National Crane product line and features a patent-pending control console technology called “Easy Reach”. The console itself moves from one operator station to the other. Unlatching the spring assisted console allows for effortless movement into the transport and operation positions.

According to Mike Herbert, engineering manager of new product development for the National Crane line, this feature is a tremendous time-saver for operators.

“When the operator has to move between the load on the ground and the controls on the truck, he doesn’t have to constantly walk around the bed to reach the controls or climb over the payload to reach the ground,” Herbert said.

The National 900H is available with three different boom lengths: 105 ft, 95 ft, and 69 ft. Capacity is 27 USt at a 5 ft radius and a 25 ft to 44 ft jib is optional. Maximum boom tip height with the jib is 158 ft.

The 900H’s load sensing hydraulic system means fast, smooth operation in the field. And the H-style “out and down” multi-span outriggers allow for fast, safe set-up in a variety of jobsite conditions.

The boom truck also features a load moment indicator system with graphical display, boom lift and telescope, winch and anti-two block control. It also includes WADS (work area definition) as standard equipment.

The National 900H is available with the crane mounted behind the cab or at the rear of the truck with a rider seat.
