Hardin named VP Manitowoc Crane CARE Americas

David Hardin has been promoted to vice president of Manitowoc Crane CARE for
the Americas. The promotion follows a successful year as general manager of
Manitowoc Crane CARE's remanufacture, rebuild, repair, and exchange operation
– EnCORE.
In his new role, Hardin provides planning, direction and management for all
Manitowoc Crane CARE teams in North and South America. He will further develop
the parts and service operations, rapid response teams, and contact centers. He
also oversees the training and technical support efforts for the Americas.
Hardin will relocate to the Manitowoc Crane CARE facility in Shady Grove,
Pennsylvania.
For the last year, Hardin has worked from the Manitowoc Crane CARE
remanufacturing facility in Bauxite, Arkansas. Here he oversaw operations
including lattice and mobile hydraulic crane rebuilds, component repair,
reconditioning programs and exchange activities.
In his new position Hardin reports directly to Larry Weyers, executive vice
president of Manitowoc Crane CARE. Weyers paid tribute to Hardin's excellent
contribution over the past 12 months.
"David has been an integral part of Manitowoc Crane CARE's growing
organization," he said. "Now we are looking to build on that
foundation, as we move ahead with new, challenging, and innovative customer
support programs."
Prior to joining MCG, Hardin held a variety of general management and senior
financial positions at Komatsu America and Cummins Engine. He also taught at
the University of Kentucky, Gatton School of Business and Midway College in
Midway, Kentucky. He holds a degree in political science, and an MBA in
finance, both from Ohio State University.
