Roland Hammer joins Manitowoc Crane Group

Manitowoc Crane Group announces that Roland Hammer has joined the company as
director of strategic accounts. Hammer will handle specific accounts in the
Americas across the complete range of Manitowoc Crane Group products,
comprising Grove mobile cranes, Manitowoc crawler cranes, National boom
trucks, and Potain tower cranes.
Hammer reports to David Birkhauser, senior vice president of sales for the
Americas, and operates through the Manitowoc Crane Group – Shady Grove
facility in Pennsylvania. Birkhauser said Hammer’s appointment is significant
for Manitowoc Crane Group.
“Roland is well-known throughout the industry in North America and we’re
delighted to welcome him to our team,” Birkhauser added. “Roland has over 30
years experience in the business and has held senior management positions with
a variety of major crane companies in disciplines ranging from sales and
marketing through to design. He is a real asset to our company.”
