MCG Debuts Seven Products at Intermat

Grove GMK4080-1

Reflecting its continuing growth the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region, Manitowoc Crane Group put on a strong showing at Intermat 2006, which was held between April 24 – 29 at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre in Paris, France.

Manitowoc Crane Group will display 11 products including Grove mobile cranes, Manitowoc crawler cranes, and Potain tower cranes. Seven of these products are new or making their first appearance at a trade show in Europe. There will also be displays from Manitowoc Crane CARE and CraneCREDIT; Manitowoc Crane Group’s customer service and financing business units.

Philippe Cohet, executive vice president for Manitowoc Crane Group in EMEA, said the company is looking forward to demonstrating its strengths at this year’s event.

“With 11 products at the show, including several being seen for the first time, we are demonstrating just how committed we are to product development,” he said. “And we are continuing to strengthen our position across the EMEA region. The past few months have seen us launch a new operation in Russia, increase our presence in Algeria, and install a new organization in UAE – with a new facility set to open there in the coming months. In addition, Manitowoc Crane CARE is reinforcing its position across EMEA, bringing us even closer to our customers and to the market.”

Among the new products on show at Intermat are the Grove GMK5220 all-terrain (called the GMK5275 in the US) and the Grove GMK4080-1 all-terrain (called the GMK4100 in the US). From Potain, new cranes include the Igo 11 and Igo 22 self-erecting models. Manitowoc will display the Model 16000 crawler crane at Intermat, the first time Manitowoc has exhibited the 16000 outside the US.

Manitowoc Crane Group’s stand at Intermat 2006 will occupy 2025 m2 (21,800 ft2) space.
