Denis François Joins MCG Management Team

Denis François: Senior vice president operations for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

Manitowoc Crane Group has announced that Denis François has joined the company in the newly created position of senior vice president operations for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. In his new position François will report directly to Philippe Cohet, executive vice president of MCG in EMEA, and will be in charge of defining and implementing a consistent manufacturing and engineering strategy for the whole region. He will also work closely with other regions to ensure the company continues to satisfy its customers and to improve economic performance.

François and his team will provide overall direction and leadership for both manufacturing and engineering and will handle all aspects of product improvement, on-site safety and manufacturing excellence. They will also ensure the company makes maximum effectiveness of its innovations and will be asked to propose innovative solutions to capacity problems.

With over 25 years experience in senior management, mostly in the automotive sector, François has held a variety of roles of increasing responsibility. He most recently served as vice president of sourcing at corporate level for Faurecia. He is an engineering graduate from CESTI in France and has further qualifications from INSEAD, also in France. He speaks fluent French and English and will be based at the Manitowoc Crane Group EMEA headquarters in Ecully, France.

The appointment of François is part of a global initiative at Manitowoc Crane Group which has also seen Chuck Mogged appointed to an equivalent position in The Americas and Derek Oh appointed to an equivalent position in the Asia-Pacific region.
