Potain will display an Igo MA13 at the show in outdoor lot O21357. The Igo MA13 is one of the latest additions to the Igo crane range, which offers customers a lifting solution, balancing of compactness, ease of use and transportation, and the latest in technology innovations from Potain, the world’s leading manufacturer of tower cranes. Potain is one of the four world-leading crane brands manufactured by the Manitowoc Crane Group. Crane products from the Manitowoc Crane Group have long been a favorite choice of contractors and professionals working in the concrete construction industry. Potain manufactures a variety of cranes used for the concrete market, including the Igo self-erecting cranes and top-slewing cranes. Igos have been sold outside of the United States and North America for several years. The Potain family of self-erecting products comprises the Igo, HD, HDM, HDT, and GTMR models. Jib lengths vary from 16 m (53 ft) to 50 m (164 ft), and capacities reach 8 t (8.8 USt). Potain’s commitment to the construction industry and the concrete construction industry date back three-quarters of a century. Potains are now working on some of the highest-profile and most demanding projects in the world, including: • The Bay Bridge project between Oakland and San Francisco, Calif., United States. A total of fourteen Potain MD 560-40 tower cranes are helping construct the new bridge which will a vital traffic flow between the California communities for decades. • In China, special application Potain tower cranes are helping pour an immense amount of concrete to construct what will become China’s largest hydro-power station. Two Potain cranes an MD 1800, and a MD 2200, both with capacities of 60 t (66 USt), are pouring about 240 m³ (196 yd³) of concrete in the project per 8-hour-shift, using a 6 m³ (7.8 yd³) bucket.Applications like these and a range comprising more than 60 different models has allowed Potain to become a leader in tower crane technology.
