MCG Expands Self-Erecting Tower Crane Dealer Network

With experience in the tower crane market that dates back to 1930, Manitowoc Crane Group continues to demonstrate its commitment to self-erecting tower cranes in the US as new dealers come on board and customers come to realize the potential offered by these versatile products.

Many of the industry’s biggest names are already stocking Manitowoc's self-erecting cranes (see Figure 1), with new dealers being added regularly – the latest being Nebraska Machinery, covering Nebraska; and Southeastern Crane, covering Florida and South Carolina. Complete contact information for all US Manitowoc self-erecting tower crane dealers can be accessed by utilizing the Dealer Locator on the Manitowoc Cranes Web site.

Customers also gain access to Manitowoc Crane CARE through their dealers. Crane CARE is dedicated to the aftermarket of all MCG products. Crane CARE supplies parts from its major parts warehouses in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and also supplies technical service support, operator handbooks/service manuals, and training. Crane CARE is also committed to offering world-class service, parts, and sales training to Manitowoc customers.

Dealers are finding that customers are quickly becoming converts to the benefits of self-erecting tower cranes. Simple, rapid, and entirely stand-alone, these cranes are especially suited to congested sites where space is at a premium. Electrically operated, these cranes require only one operator, can service a wide area from a single point, and can be easily and quickly transported. The machines are also very easy to set up, erect, and dismantle. “Contractors who try self-erecting tower cranes once tend to stick with the concept,” says SI Equipment Services’ president, Thomas L. Kowalski.
