Manitowoc Crane CARE shows its strength
Manitowoc Crane CARE is showing the global reach and superior capabilities
of the world’s best crane support organization at bauma 2007. The event
provides an ideal opportunity to outline strategies for 2007 and to introduce
the latest advancements and additions to its growing range of parts, service,
training, and fleet management products.
Thibaut Lebesnerais, vice president of Manitowoc Crane CARE EMEA, said the
division aims to build on the successes of 2006.
“Our people and support teams have been a credit to us in 2006,” he said. “Our
greatest challenge in 2007 will be managing growth in a strong global market.
Customer feedback has been positive, and we are growing our organization
further into regional product focused teams. Also this year we will introduce
key initiatives in supply chain management to further improve parts
delivery.”
Visitors to the Manitowoc Crane Group stand will see the many safety benefits
of in-cab crane cameras via display screens positioned inside the booth and in
cranes on the stand. There will also be demonstrations of on-line applications,
including the new E-Training programs and GPX2, which allows dealers to enter
quotes, place orders, or check parts inventory, either at regional Manitowoc
Crane CARE facilities or dealer locations.
There is a parts display for all MCG brand cranes and live demos of the simple
and efficient tower and mobile crane greasing systems.
Product information on many new service tools and aftermarket products is
available. A Manitowoc Crane CARE service van will show the significant
investment in tools and technology that Manitowoc Crane CARE is making for its
customers around the globe.
In EMEA, the response from dealers to Manitowoc Crane CARE initiatives is
excellent. Between 10 and 15 dealers should qualify for Manitowoc Crane CARE’s
‘Elite’ program in 2007. The Elite program requires dealers to implement
superior performance, invest in its people, and maintain modern and efficient
facilities.
In addition, several dealers are currently working towards achieving the ‘Red
Plan’. With this program, dealers can receive substantial benefits by
maintaining best practice on a range of services and following protocols set by
Manitowoc Crane CARE. Another program proving popular is EnCORE which allows
dealers to offer rebuild and remanufacture options through Manitowoc Crane
CARE.
Manitowoc Crane CARE offers the best-trained and most experienced customer
service staff in the industry. The EMEA dealer network is now 250 companies
strong, in more than 60 countries.
